Our Care Centre is situated on 8000 square metres of land, formally home to the old gold mine a 104 Years ago in Brakpan.

 We primarily rely on funds and donations received from sponsorships, the public and individuals, this has meant we’ve had to keep our running expenses as low as possible in order to make ends meet.

 Accommodation: Residents are housed in wooden chalets and brick out buildings as well as flats, at present, we have roughly 67 different residences on the property and 2 halls that are used as joined living quarters that currently caters to +/- 20 individuals. We have roughly 160 residents.

 Kitchen: Our kitchen caters to two cooked meals for our residents each day. Breakfast and Dinner as we cannot financially sustain 3 meals.

 Bathroom and Toilet Facilities: There are 6 public bathroom facilities that are shared amongst our residents.

 Solar Panels: to reduce our electricity bill, we’ve installed solar panels that we have received on a donation. But we are currently In need of 32 Lithium-Ion solar batteries to get our organisation running on solar power as we do not benefit from the system as it is at this moment.

 Church: We have an onsite multi-denominational church that is open to both our residents and members of the public who wish to attend. Our residents attend church at their OWN DISCRETION, and it is NOT COMPULSORY.

 Tuckshop: Our tuckshop is run by residents to help them provide for themselves, and supplies residents with the daily basic necessities, this is for their convenience and saves the elderly from having to go into town unnecessarily.

 School Bus: For the safety of the kids who reside in the centre, we have a bus transporting them to and from school daily.

 Pet Friendly: Our facility is pet-friendly and we welcome the stay of animals as this is sometimes the only companion to our elderly residents.

Fishpond and communal area: We have a fishpond and communal grass area with seating where our residents can sit, relax and enjoy some fresh air and clear their thoughts.

We are constantly trying to improve our facility to create an environment where our residents can feel safe, and in a position, where they can see themselves once again rise out of their situations and create a better life for their families.
